The Sammy

Contrary to my introduction, this beer wad designed to be an American-inspired Australian Sparkling Ale with tropical and citrus hop flavours and aroma , with a slightly malty back-bone to support it.

5% Alc. 30 IBU. 6 SRM.

 

Grain Bill (60L brew):

4.5 kg Pilsner

5 kg Pale Ale

2 kg Munich I

1.5 kg Munich II

0.75 kg Wheat Malt

 

Hop Schedule:

45 g Citra (13.5%) @60min [27 IBU] – All purpose hop with tropical and citrus characters.

30 g Melba (11.5%) @5min [3 IBU] – All purpose hop with big citrus notes, stone fruit, passion and a zesty grapefruit backbone.

30 g East Kent Goldings (5.7%) @0min [Aroma] – All purpose hop with spicy and floral aroma and a spicy flavour.
