The Albert

The Albert was aimed at being more of an Aussie pale ale designed for the hot sunny afternoons after work, with minimal malt character and a simple hop schedule, but without being too plain.

 

4.4% Alc. 40 IBU. 3.6 SRM

 

Grain bill (30L):

2.2 kg Ale (Barret-Burston)

2 kg Pilsner (Weyermann)

0.7 kg Munich I (Weyermann)

0.2 kg Wheat malt (Joe White)

 

Hop schedule

27 g Galaxy (12.7%) @60min [34 IBU] – Dual purpose Australian hop with good bitterness an a pleasant citrus and passionfruit aroma.

15 g Mosaic (11%) @10min [6 IBU] – An aroma/flavour hop with a unique blend of floral, tropical, fruity and earthy characters.
