On a random whim (is there any other kind??) I purchased a 10kg bag of baker’s flour… to make bread of course. Yeast sachets were included, but despite plentiful ambition, the lack of sufficient available time has prevented me from making flour ‘rise to the occasion’… so to speak. But, now thanks to Mother and Father, Trish and I are the proud owners of a new bread maker. With the once romantic dreams of kneading bread by hand in tatters, I have a slight sense of relief that the over-sized bag of flour will not go to waste. However, my ‘waste’ may be beginning to expand already…
